One awesome thing I learned while working on a strat for the Tainted Maulclaw was just how good Ikky is as a pet versus Aquatic.
My normal go to for Aquatic types has always been the Teroclaw Hatchling. Teroclaws dodge though can't be overlooked :)
Reminder that all of my Tanaan strats only include the pet needed to kill the Legendary pet. To finish the last two you will need to pick 2 pets from your collection capable of beating what ever combination you get.

Use Black Claw then Flock and watch Maulclaw drop.
Depending on backline types you could quite possibly take down the legendary and the second pet all with the one Ikky
