Weird hippo, cow, Shrek cross thing.
This strat I stumble on by accident thinking I'd kept failing until I realised I had debuffed it's speed and gave it a damage taken buff as I'd died.
Your second pet in should finish the job.
Reminder that all of my Tanaan strats only include the pet needed to kill the Legendary pet. To finish the last two you will need to pick 2 pets from your collection capable of beating what ever combination you get.

How to
Use Primal Cry, Black Claw and then Hunting Party.
Your Anklerender will die before the Thundertail does but you have been set up in such a way that your second pet should be faster than the Thundertail and it will take 100% more damage for one more round.
So one decent hit from a good damage skill from pet 2 should do it.
